The standards of medical practice require that to become competent in providing this service a nurse must have, in addition to the instruction at this course, 50-75 supervised scans overseen by an RDMS and the medical director for the Pregnancy Medical Clinic.

**In order to provide this additional on-site training, NIFLA endorses the training program of Soundview Imaging Partners. For more information, go to www.soundviewimaging.org.
